Damian grew up in the Pacific Northwest and has spent more than two decades immersed in snow science and avalanche forecasting. With Level III Avalanche training and advanced weather forecasting certifications, he has held roles across the globe—from New Zealand’s Southern Alps to Utah’s Little Cottonwood Canyon. Today, he splits his time between guiding in Alaska’s Chugach and supporting avalanche mitigation projects in Washington State. Equally at home navigating rivers in the summer or the backcountry in winter, Damian brings unmatched depth of knowledge and a lifelong passion for mountain safety.
